This is what happened...

This weekend started off really normal. Friday night Rob and I rented a few movies. One of which I was super excited to see, Mirror Mirror, by the way I did like it hehe... I loved that he stayed up later Friday to spend some time together. Normally during the week he goes to bed quite a bit earlier than me because he gets up before 4 a.m.

Saturday just turned into one of those bad days. I woke up in a crabby mood haha... then that afternoon my hubby tripped going up the stairs in our house and landed on his hand wrong (in the same spot that he has broken a few times before). So that night his cousin's fiance came over to sit with the kids so we could go to th ER. By the way it is broken again so he has an orthopedic appointment tomorrow to get it reset (ouch), and have a cast put on it!

Even though Saturday started off pretty crappy and ended with us in the ER at about midnight, we actually were having a lot of fun while we were there, making jokes and just talking about crazy things. The nurses had to of thought we were drunk, and I can assure you we hadn't had a bit to drink. I guess we were just hyper (after all he was drinking a Starbucks double shot coffee drink and I was drinking some coffee that I made just befor went to the hospital).

Our weekend turned out to go a lot differently than we had planned. Hopefully next week won't be so badly haha! Oh yeah, and on top of all of that my keyboard has been acting up on my laptop (so fingers crossed that the sensors for the keys aren't going out)!!

We Love to Color

My littlest one just loves to color.... well atleast try to haha!

She gets extra cool points for having the crayon upside down too hehe! She really does try and it's so cute, even though most of the time she just kinda taps the crayon really hard onto the paper.

Tonight at dinner I asked her,"Will you color a picture for Mommy?" and her response was a quick little nod yes (very very quick)... and a halfway, "mmhmm" (which was said even quicker that the nod was done haha).. Then she tried to color. The funny thing was that she was holding the crayon upside down and tried to color with it turned the correct way. (which would've probably been really uncomfortable haha) I am not exactly sure what my husband is doing in the picture either!

Balancing Acts

Tonight, Elizabeth decided that she wanted to balance by standing on Daddy's stomache. Here is how it went...

It was soooo funny watching her stand up, and then walk to his stomache.. once she was standing on his stomache I couldn't stop laughing at how she was so wobbly trying to balance. Then she would fall and get super mad. But afterwards she would just get up and do it again. She never cried, she was just mad that she fell off haha! In the picture above she even paused long enough to sorta pose and take a picture LOL!

Everyday she makes me laugh, even if she is doing something she shouldn't be. If that's the case I just have to wait until she isn't looking and then laugh. She definitely is a little character.

I wish that I could've taken a video of her helping me with the the DVD shelf earlier. As I was putting the new shelves on I asked her to give me one (they aren't big nor are they heavy), so once she gave me one and I said, "YAY! Thank you so much, good job!"... she then decided she needed to bring me all of them haha! Once I had all the shelves in and moved it to where I wanted it, I began to put all of the DVD's onto it and she just had to help out again and continued to randomly bring me movies LOL... she is so helpful and cute, it just melts my heart!

We Built This City...

This is what we, as in me and Michael, decided to build tonight.

We decided to use his wooden train track to make roads for his Hot Wheel cars to drive on. It started oout going over and through the fake mountain that is part of the train set, but we decided to replace it with a bridge since it was easier to fit the cars through haha. Then we set up a little town all around it complete with trees. So, in the picture above you can see the house that I built out of Legos (which we made part of the farm! There is also the little fire station and construction area too. Waaay at the top of the picture is the little town area.

All the way on the right there was the hospital area, complete with a parking lot. Did you notice the train on the "road" haha? That is what our night before bedtime consisted of. Afterwards I asked him if he wanted to keep it all set up to play with tomorrow since it was his bedtime (and we had spent so much time putting it all together), or if he just wanted to put it all up. He actually just wanted to scoot it all over but that wasn't going to work so well without it all falling apart. So we ended up just cleaning it all up LOL.

Have a great night everyone!!

The Silliest Straw

The night Michael came home, well he got into town really late, but earlier at dinnertime we (me, Rob, and Elizabeth) went out for some dinner at Bob Evans. Which I would like to add that it was surprisingly alright.

This was the silliest silly straw haha! It really was weird, and you could bend it any way you wanted. Elizabeth was a little bit confused by it, she had only ever drank from a regular straw, so it was interesting watching her drink from it!

Sometimes it is so strange the little things thta will amuse you once you become a parent, and the smallest things that will put the biggest smile to your face!

Chilling on a stool

Here is my little morning love bug!

Sometimes, like this day, she waits patiently by my side in the kitchen while I make her some breakfast! Although, most of the time she isn't too patient haha... But she always manages to put a smile on my face no matter what.

Hope you all have a great weekend and that her little smile put a big smile on your face!

Resort Weekend

This past weekend we all went to a resort in the mountains. It was nestled in between the mountains with a really beautiful lake that had beaches too! I would also like to add how clear the water was, Rob kept pointing it out repeatedly.

The kids did a little bit of swimming in the lake with daddy.. but then Elizabeth got a little fussy so I let her play in the sand on the beach.

Last year we all went to Myrtle Beach for about 5 days, so this wasn't her first time to be near the sand, except for the last time she was only 2 months old, so she didn't exactly get to play!

It was so cute, she enjoyed tossing the sand behind her the most haha! Michael is getting so much better about being in the water, he went under water and opened his eyes for the first time this weekend. He was so proud of himself, and so were we! I am so happy to see that is is becoming less and less afraid of swimming and going under water.

Photo Flashback

It is so odd looking at this picture... I was about 21 here.. so it's not incredibly old, but it is from about four years ago. A lot changes in 4 years haha! Sometimes I kinda miss having some blonde in my hair, so I have really been debating on lighting it up some and adding some blonde into it. Not the exact color that it is in the picture above though(not that blonde)!

Hope everyone enjoyed this little picture I decided to share.. oh and by the way, this was taken at my dad's house when I was getting ready to go hang out with two of my besties from high school (Delta, and her hubby Austin).
