I am so happy that Elizabeth's hair is finally getting long. Today she wore her hair in little pigtails hehe!!

Chicken A La Skillet

My new favorite way to cook chicken lately has been in a skillet. So the other day when we had it for dinner and my son said, "This is reeaalllyy good!" I knew it was safe to share my recipe with all of you haha!

It's really simple.. I start off with a big skillet and raw chicken tenders. I put just enough extra virgin olive oil in the skillet, just enough to coat it. I usually put only about 5 of the tenders in it to start with, because as they cook they do shrink up some. Once they are in the skillet I sprinkle Natures seasoning, roasted garlic and herb, lemon pepper, and Montreal chicken seasoning over the tenders. Then I let them cook on one side for a couple minutes, turn them over and put the same ingredients on them again. the trick is to continuously season them the whole time so that they are really flavorful! And voila!!! Your chicken a la skillet haha..

Quick update and a birthday party!

First off.. Happy Birthday to the big boy in my house who is 8 today!!! It really doesn't seem like he should be haha!
Last night we decided to throw a little mini surprise party for him since my Hubby isn't able to be here today. He left early this morning to go out of town for his job. So we threw together a little party complete with decorations! My Mom is also in town this week, and he wanted to go out for pizza tonight, so we are celebrating again and he will be getting his presents from her tonight! Michael doesn't know yet, but after Rob is back from being out of town we are taking him and his cousin for a lazer tag day to celebrate again haha! His cousin's birthday is October 1st, so its for both of their birthdays. I think he will have a blast, he has never played before. Personally, I love laser tag haha.. And I won't lie, I wasn't too shabby at it back in the day either lol!
Now for my update! My internet is out right now, but I will be doing my best to blog from my phone when I can!

Yes, that's right, I found these fun shoes for Elizabeth at none other than the Family Dollar store!  The great thing is that she really likes them too, and they are glittery, girly, fun, and were just $5!!

Happy Birthday! A Special Post!

The other day I did a fun little meet my brother post with a jigsaw puzzle revealing his picture. Well... today's post is about him too. I don't always do posts for birthdays other than the little ones, but today's birthday is a special one. My little brother turned 21 today!! As crazy as it sounds, you heard me right, my little brother. Who is 6 foot something haha! So I decided to share some pictures from throughout the years with all of you. Happy Birthday little brother! I Love You!!

Here we are at his high school graduation! See, he is much taller than me haha. I am only 5' if that gives you an idea. He might actually be a little taller now.

Now his college graduation! I unfortunately had to miss this... It was the day we were leaving town before we moved and were heading to visit my hubby's family before moving to where we are now. We were suppose to head out of town after his graduation. But the day before, which was my birthday I might add, a buzzard flew into the windshield of our rental vehicle and shattered it, and we weren't able to get it fixed until this day!

As you can tell by the date, this was taken in October of last year haha. So it was taken six months before the last one. I just added it because I like it!

This is a picture of Dalton with my mom's bestie, her name is Elizabeth, just like my daughter's. No that wasn't intentional haha! I just like his smile in this pic..

I suppose this was taken late last night before he left for work. Just opened up his birthday present from our parents.

Last, but not least, out to dinner with our wonderful mama for his birthday! By the way... my mom is really tall too, close to 5' 10" haha.

Meet My Brother!

I know I have been doing a horrible job with keeping up with this blog. I tend to focus most of my time on my beauty blog, but I do still care about this one as well! So I thought it would be a fun idea to do a jigsaw puzzle for you all! I don't really show pictures of very many people on here other than the kids, until today. Meet my little brother Dalton, who turns 21 in just two days... Let me also add how completely strange it is to say that haha! The picture I chose is actually from about a year ago, so it wasn't take in he past week or anything.
