For some reason every night after dinner Elizabeth just has to run 5 laps around the dining room table. That's probably why she is so small, she burns it all off haha!

The Redi Whip Caper
The highlight of the dinner came from little miss Elizabeth. After dinner was finished, her great aunt had gotten her a piece of pumpkin cake along with some redi whip on top...
Well.. the picture speaks for itself haha! As her great aunt got up from the table for just a second, Elizabeth reached across and grabbed her spoon and scooped all of the redi whip off haha! She was very sneaky about it too, since no one even realized it until it was already entering her mouth.
I must say, she is just like her daddy. He really has a sweet tooth!

Say "cheee!"
I have always said to Elizabeth, "say cheese" whenever a pic was being taken. Well.. She definitely surprised me when I went to take a pic and after I told her to say cheese, she replied with, "cheeee!" Haha I didn't even know she knew how to say it but it was so cute. Especially the big smile she made along with it!

Happy Halloweeny
Happy Halloween everyone! I hope you all had a great and safe one.. And for my fellow east coasters you are all in my prayers!
Here is what my little ones wore. Elizabeth was a pirate, which we had to fight to keep her hat on, and then she didn't want it off haha! Michael chose a gangster/mob costume that came with the cutest hat.

I am so happy that Elizabeth's hair is finally getting long. Today she wore her hair in little pigtails hehe!!

Chicken A La Skillet
My new favorite way to cook chicken lately has been in a skillet. So the other day when we had it for dinner and my son said, "This is reeaalllyy good!" I knew it was safe to share my recipe with all of you haha!
It's really simple.. I start off with a big skillet and raw chicken tenders. I put just enough extra virgin olive oil in the skillet, just enough to coat it. I usually put only about 5 of the tenders in it to start with, because as they cook they do shrink up some. Once they are in the skillet I sprinkle Natures seasoning, roasted garlic and herb, lemon pepper, and Montreal chicken seasoning over the tenders. Then I let them cook on one side for a couple minutes, turn them over and put the same ingredients on them again. the trick is to continuously season them the whole time so that they are really flavorful! And voila!!! Your chicken a la skillet haha..

Quick update and a birthday party!
Last night we decided to throw a little mini surprise party for him since my Hubby isn't able to be here today. He left early this morning to go out of town for his job. So we threw together a little party complete with decorations! My Mom is also in town this week, and he wanted to go out for pizza tonight, so we are celebrating again and he will be getting his presents from her tonight! Michael doesn't know yet, but after Rob is back from being out of town we are taking him and his cousin for a lazer tag day to celebrate again haha! His cousin's birthday is October 1st, so its for both of their birthdays. I think he will have a blast, he has never played before. Personally, I love laser tag haha.. And I won't lie, I wasn't too shabby at it back in the day either lol!
Now for my update! My internet is out right now, but I will be doing my best to blog from my phone when I can!
I hope you are all having a fantabulous Tuesday!

Baby wannabe Converse
Yes, that's right, I found these fun shoes for Elizabeth at none other than the Family Dollar store! The great thing is that she really likes them too, and they are glittery, girly, fun, and were just $5!!

Happy Birthday! A Special Post!
Little Dalton... wasn't he so cute? I love the one of him on the diving board with his little floaties haha!
Here is an upclose picture of the train one. When he was a baby he LOVED trains. This is actually a picture of the picture hanging on the wall at my parent's lol!
Here we are at his high school graduation! See, he is much taller than me haha. I am only 5' if that gives you an idea. He might actually be a little taller now.
This pic was taken when he was in college. I am not sure exactly where he is at, I just found this one on his Facebook haha!
As you can tell by the date, this was taken in October of last year haha. So it was taken six months before the last one. I just added it because I like it!
This is a picture of Dalton with my mom's bestie, her name is Elizabeth, just like my daughter's. No that wasn't intentional haha! I just like his smile in this pic..
Last, but not least, out to dinner with our wonderful mama for his birthday! By the way... my mom is really tall too, close to 5' 10" haha.

This is what happened...
Saturday just turned into one of those bad days. I woke up in a crabby mood haha... then that afternoon my hubby tripped going up the stairs in our house and landed on his hand wrong (in the same spot that he has broken a few times before). So that night his cousin's fiance came over to sit with the kids so we could go to th ER. By the way it is broken again so he has an orthopedic appointment tomorrow to get it reset (ouch), and have a cast put on it!
Even though Saturday started off pretty crappy and ended with us in the ER at about midnight, we actually were having a lot of fun while we were there, making jokes and just talking about crazy things. The nurses had to of thought we were drunk, and I can assure you we hadn't had a bit to drink. I guess we were just hyper (after all he was drinking a Starbucks double shot coffee drink and I was drinking some coffee that I made just befor went to the hospital).
Our weekend turned out to go a lot differently than we had planned. Hopefully next week won't be so badly haha! Oh yeah, and on top of all of that my keyboard has been acting up on my laptop (so fingers crossed that the sensors for the keys aren't going out)!!

We Love to Color
She gets extra cool points for having the crayon upside down too hehe! She really does try and it's so cute, even though most of the time she just kinda taps the crayon really hard onto the paper.
Tonight at dinner I asked her,"Will you color a picture for Mommy?" and her response was a quick little nod yes (very very quick)... and a halfway, "mmhmm" (which was said even quicker that the nod was done haha).. Then she tried to color. The funny thing was that she was holding the crayon upside down and tried to color with it turned the correct way. (which would've probably been really uncomfortable haha) I am not exactly sure what my husband is doing in the picture either!

Balancing Acts
It was soooo funny watching her stand up, and then walk to his stomache.. once she was standing on his stomache I couldn't stop laughing at how she was so wobbly trying to balance. Then she would fall and get super mad. But afterwards she would just get up and do it again. She never cried, she was just mad that she fell off haha! In the picture above she even paused long enough to sorta pose and take a picture LOL!
Everyday she makes me laugh, even if she is doing something she shouldn't be. If that's the case I just have to wait until she isn't looking and then laugh. She definitely is a little character.
I wish that I could've taken a video of her helping me with the the DVD shelf earlier. As I was putting the new shelves on I asked her to give me one (they aren't big nor are they heavy), so once she gave me one and I said, "YAY! Thank you so much, good job!"... she then decided she needed to bring me all of them haha! Once I had all the shelves in and moved it to where I wanted it, I began to put all of the DVD's onto it and she just had to help out again and continued to randomly bring me movies LOL... she is so helpful and cute, it just melts my heart!

We Built This City...
We decided to use his wooden train track to make roads for his Hot Wheel cars to drive on. It started oout going over and through the fake mountain that is part of the train set, but we decided to replace it with a bridge since it was easier to fit the cars through haha. Then we set up a little town all around it complete with trees. So, in the picture above you can see the house that I built out of Legos (which we made part of the farm! There is also the little fire station and construction area too. Waaay at the top of the picture is the little town area.
All the way on the right there was the hospital area, complete with a parking lot. Did you notice the train on the "road" haha? That is what our night before bedtime consisted of. Afterwards I asked him if he wanted to keep it all set up to play with tomorrow since it was his bedtime (and we had spent so much time putting it all together), or if he just wanted to put it all up. He actually just wanted to scoot it all over but that wasn't going to work so well without it all falling apart. So we ended up just cleaning it all up LOL.
Have a great night everyone!!

The Silliest Straw
This was the silliest silly straw haha! It really was weird, and you could bend it any way you wanted. Elizabeth was a little bit confused by it, she had only ever drank from a regular straw, so it was interesting watching her drink from it!
Sometimes it is so strange the little things thta will amuse you once you become a parent, and the smallest things that will put the biggest smile to your face!

Chilling on a stool
Sometimes, like this day, she waits patiently by my side in the kitchen while I make her some breakfast! Although, most of the time she isn't too patient haha... But she always manages to put a smile on my face no matter what.
Hope you all have a great weekend and that her little smile put a big smile on your face!

Resort Weekend
The kids did a little bit of swimming in the lake with daddy.. but then Elizabeth got a little fussy so I let her play in the sand on the beach.
Last year we all went to Myrtle Beach for about 5 days, so this wasn't her first time to be near the sand, except for the last time she was only 2 months old, so she didn't exactly get to play!
It was so cute, she enjoyed tossing the sand behind her the most haha! Michael is getting so much better about being in the water, he went under water and opened his eyes for the first time this weekend. He was so proud of himself, and so were we! I am so happy to see that is is becoming less and less afraid of swimming and going under water.

Daddy can ride... a hippo?
No he isn't actually sitting on it lol... but it was so cute to look over and see him and Elizabeth sitting like this watching tv haha! I have blogged before about how she loves to sit on her hippo and watch tv. Plus it feels like a stuffed animal, so I guess it's comfortable to sit on.
I believe this was taken during a weekend, since my hubby is at work all week... During the weekends she is glued to him. She has a "daddy day" all weekend long. She loves her Daddy so much, which makes me so happy, and he is a great daddy!

Hanging by the Pool
I was excited though because we were off to the pool afterwards haha! My husband's cousin's fiance (woah, that's a lot to say) had invited us to come swimming.. I was so worried it would storm when we got there since there was a HUGE dark dark raincloud right over us, but luckily it passed on by so we could enjoy a couple of hours at the pool.
Unfortunately I had forgotten my camera all day long... but Angie (cousin's fiance) snapped a quick picture with her iphone since I left mine in the car by accident haha!
The kids had soooo much fun and definitely didn't want to get out of the water... Elizabeth looked so cute in her Hello Kitty bikini hehe, and I was super proud of Michael who kept having to show me how he can go under water and hold his breath now haha!
It's so nice to have him home...

What I was going to post...plus a funny story
Wanna know what's been going on with me though? Well... yesterday I fell down the stairs.. it's kind of a funny story but I honestly thought I broke my tailbone. I just injured it though, so it still hurts to bend over or sit down, and even to walk sometimes!
What happened was this, I was changing Elizabeth's diaper upstairs and didn't realize it until I was almost done that I didn't have enough wipes to finish up (she had a really dirty diaper haha), so I was left with no choice but to carry her downstairs and get her other wipes. Since she wasn't totally clean I had to carry her with me otherwise it would've been a total mess everywhere (plus I didn't want to leave her upstairs by herself)...
Anyways, being that she still had a little bit of poop on her I didn't want to hold her too close to me and I was kinda holding her out from me.. I was almost to the bottom of the stairs and she started wiggling and throwing a fit, I lost my balance and fell down about 4, maybe even 5, steps. I don't know exactly how many I fell down, but everytime I hit a step I landed on my tailbone. The not so funny part of the story is that I was holding Elizabeth and she did fall, but thankfully she was perfectly ok. Her foot was a little red, but she immediately got up and was running around and took off trying to play! Of course I had to grab her because I still had to finish cleaning her up! She wasn't too awfully dirty thank goodness... So I wasn't cleaning up a huge mess everywhere!
That's the story of how I hurt my butt haha! It sounds funny to say, but it really did hurt. I called my mom to ask her what breaking your tailbone feels like, since she has broke her's before when she was younger. Her description was nothing like mine and I do feel better today.

Little Lovebug
She got a few nasty mosquito bites on her face over the 4th.... and unfortunately I can't always stop her from scratching them so they look way worse than they did at first. Thankfully though they are looking much much better now!
In my last post I mentioned how she always brings all the toys she can, and puts them right in my lap... well that is what she is doing in this picture haha! I love how she always puts those rings on her arms, I guess she things they are bracelets. They are the doughnut rings that go on the little baby toys (the ones that are all different sizes and colors, I have no clue what the toy is called).

Couch Potato
She also loves to bring me every toy and pile it into my lap haha!
I just love this picture of her... she just looks so content haha! Honestly, I am surpirsed that she actually looked at the camera and didn't turn when I took the picture.
My little ones constantly put some sort of smile on my face.. Michael comes home next weekend and we are SUPER excited, we all miss him so much.. and we have never been away from him for this long!

I am sorry for not blogging.. A couple of nights ago there were some horrible storms here and knocked out a tower near my house. So my phone internet has been really limited, and my laptop internet has been completely out. As soon as it's all working again I will be back as usual!

Rehearsal Dinner
This first picture is one of my absolute favorites! Everyone looks so amazing, and it really is a great picture. In this picture you will find from left to right: Kayla(bridesmaid), Me(bridesmaid), Angel(bridesmaid), the beautiful bride Merissa, Merissa's mom Renee, Bethany (bridesmaid and one of mine and Merissa's childhood friends, again since we were like two haha), Laura (maid of honor), Vanya(bridesmaid and now sister-in-law), and Merissa's step-mom Jen... Wheew.... that was a lot to type haha!
Haha... I honestly am not 100% sure what everyone is doing in this picture. I knew we were taking it, but I just thought we were all standing like before. Guess I should've been paying more attention.
This was such a fun weekend, and her wedding was a total blast, and definitely the most beautiful wedding I have ever seen!

View From my Lap
Sometimes my little on comes over with her crazy orange and striped cat that you see here... and a sippy cup, and just plops down on me haha!
Oh how I just love when she wants to show me some affection, since she is slowly getting into her terrible two stage... and she isn't even 18months yet! I don't know if I want to see how three will be haha!

The RIGHT way to eat an oreo..
Not only did she get it all over her face and hands...
She also had it ALL over her clothes, the highchair, and in her hair haha! I had to give her a bath immediately afterwards, and that was only from eating two oreos... imagine how messy it would've been if she had of eaten more.
I love that her two bottom teeth are showing in this picture, she also has four new teeth on top that came in pretty much all at the same time.
Sorry that it has taken me a while to do a new post on this blog... my email app on my phone messed up and I wasn't receiving emails on my phone nor would it allow me to send any. That is how I normally put pics on this blog is by taking the pictures with my phone and emailing them to myself! Therefore, I wasn't able to put any new pictures up on here... It is now finally fixed so I have a few new posts to do now haha!

A little update!
As I sit here typing this, Elizabeth is sitting backwards on her hippo playing haha, while Rob is playing a video game next to me on the couch! So here goes my update:
I have just started taking some online makeup artistry classes that I am super excited about!! Right now I am going into my fourth video for the class, but I still have a long ways to go.
I did however go for a job interview today, but I won't know anything until next week. The sad thing is that I would love to work there, but if I do get hired I am not sure I will be able to take the job. It's just not offering the amount of hours that I need.
Oh! And I got a new vehicle, that I absolutely needed... the other vehicle that we have, my husband always drives and it was just getting too small for the kids. The backseat was really tiny and if they were both in there, then there was no room for anything else at all. So I go a midsize SUV that I am LOVING!!
Well, that's my quick little update haha.. During the period of me typing this post, Elizabeth went from sitting on her hippo playing with a toy, to trying to eat one of her books (which I quickly had to stop her from lol), and now she is playing with her little kitchen that she got from Santa for Christmas. I love watching her learn and play, it's so amazing how much they know so early in life. Even if they don't always act like it. (What I mean by that is that I know she knows what I am saying, but she doesn't always listen when told to do something haha)
I hope you all are having a wonderful Friday!

New Blog Look!
This weekend will most likely be super busy, I have quite a few things to get done. Today was a really slow day, although I did manage to film a new video for my beauty channel haha. I will probably be up either Monday or Tuesday.
This post was just super quick to let you all know what the deal is with my blog. If you see it changing looks a lot, it's because I am in the process of finding a new look for it that I am really happy with.
Have an awesome rest of the weekend everyone!

We LOVE Grapes!
She couldn't decide which part of her dinner she wanted more, the mac n' cheese, or the grapes haha! (which you can see in her hand if you look closely) She was being such a ham and smiling so big when I said to her, "say cheese", but then as soon as I took the picture she looked back down at her grape... So this is the picture we got haha! Say hello to Rob's (my hubby) arm as well.
When we go here to eat that's usually what she gets since she isn't a big fan of spaghetti. After one busy afternoon, and then eating dinner, we headed to Wal-Mart to get a few things that we needed for around the house. Then we came home and she had her bathtime... which I am not too sure if you enjoys it or not haha. She loves to play in there, but she hates to have her hair washed sometimes hehe.
I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. I am off to watch a movie that I bought at Wal-Mart earlier... and eat a brownie haha! Goodbye diet!

Lindz

How to Ride a Hippo
This is how excited she was to ride her little hippo... it rocks back and forth!
And this is how she smiled when I told her to say "cheese"! Haha.. then she squealed and that's how the first picture came about!
Poor little thing has been doing some serious teething and has FIVE teeth all at once coming in!
Surprisingly though she hasn't been very fussy (just very clingy towards me), and she only ran a fever when it all first started. I am very proud of her, I know it must hurt really badly, and she has taken it like a pro!
happy happy hippos,
Lindsey

A day in D.C.
Unfortunately though we didn't get to do what we went there to do. Our goal was to go and see the Vietnam Veteran's wall (my step-dad was in the Vietnam war) that is there but it was just such a LONG walk. It had been years since I was there so of course I didn't know very great routes to take. We did get to ride the subway though haha... I had been on the ones in D.C. before, but my mom and them hadn't.
If you read my beauty blog at http://foxxybeauty.blogspot.com then you know that I did get to see the actual ruby red slippers from the Wizard of Oz though hehe... We visited one of the Smithsonian's for a bit, but we got such a late start. I do feel awful that my step-dad didn't make it to the wall this trip, but sadly he has such a horrible back now that it hurts him after walking for too long. Thankfully though this isn't the last time that they will be going to D.C. in the near future.
Here are a few pics of some of the things that we were close enough to take pictures of though!
The Washington Monument
A fragment of Plymouth Rock. Said to be where the pilgrims landed in 1620.
Here is what I looked like yesterday haha!
Here is the entrance to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History
A Babe Ruth signed baseball!! I just thought this was neat so I had to share it. There were lots of neat things there that have all contributed to American history. I only viewed one small area of it and I really want to go back and see it all.. plus it's FREE!
